The Mini DV festival is the premiere event for movies shot in a digital format. This year 113 films were in competition, short-listed from an entry pool of over eight hundred.

Producer, actor and writer Brendan Pollecutt was absolutely thrilled to be part of the competition. To sit in a room full of Americans and hear them laugh at my world our South African world, was incredible. I am now convinced that given the right material, South African product will crack this elusive American market.

Hey Boy will be screened on South African television in the early part of 2005.
